Primo Brands has opened a new Mountain Valley water factory in Hot Springs, Garland County, Arkansas. The company announced the opening on October 14, 2026, adding production and distribution space for its premium spring-water business.

The approximately 200,000-square-foot site is the first new factory built since Primo Brands was formed in 2024. The group brought together Primo Water and an affiliate of BlueTriton Brands, whose operations included the former North American water business of Nestlé.

Three lines for different formats

The greenfield investment combines manufacturing with space for logistics and warehousing. Its production configuration includes:

  • One high-speed line serving retail formats.
  • Two production lines handling large-format containers.
  • Supporting warehouse and logistics areas at the same site.

Primo Brands describes the project as a multimillion-dollar investment. The company has not provided an exact capital total or a numerical annual production target in its opening announcement. The new lines add capacity for a brand that the group says is experiencing strong consumer demand.

A project announced in 2025

Primo Brands held the factory’s groundbreaking ceremony on October 29, 2025. At that stage, the company anticipated that the facility would be fully operational in spring 2026. The October 14, 2026 opening announcement records a later milestone; the earlier date was a forecast rather than confirmation of completed operations. The original project description called for one small-format line and two large-format lines, alongside production, logistics and storage space. The opening statement identifies a retail high-speed line and two large-format lines within the completed facility.

Spring water with an Arkansas base

The Mountain Valley sources its spring water from the Ouachita Mountains and has bottled water in the region since 1871. Sandstone and shale form part of the water’s natural filtration path. The product range includes still spring water and sparkling water. The brand’s green glass bottles serve restaurant and other customers, while its home-delivery offering includes glass jugs in 2.5-gallon and 5-gallon formats. The expansion includes both retail and large-container production.

Opening in the Hot Springs community

The ribbon-cutting programme brought together employees, community representatives and state and local officials. An evening reception at Mountain Valley’s historic downtown building supported the Hot Springs Documentary Film Festival, which the brand sponsors. The downtown property houses Mountain Valley’s visitor centre and museum, a separate public-facing location alongside the new manufacturing investment.
